Petroglyph National Monument, NM

It is believed that most of these petroglyphs are 400 to 700 years old. Some may have been carved as early as 2,000 to 3,000 years ago. In addition to the the glyphs left by the Ancient Puebloan People, Christian priests and Spanish colonists, in the 1600’s left carved crosses, livestock brands, and animals such as sheep, horses and cows.
